Learning styles… aren’t we over this?

I was at the AITD (Australian Institute of Training and Development) National Conference in Melbourne last week. Several sessions I attended mentioned learning styles in some context or the other. I really thought people in the sector are aware now that learning style theories are totally unfounded.

Just as I was preparing to write a blog post sharing my irritation, Jay Cross’ post “Learning Styles, ha, ha, ha, ha” landed in my inbox… how weird is that? How telling too that this is a post he wrote in 2005 which he posts again “because people still have not got the message”. A must read…
